I really loved this place. The room was a cross between an elegant hotel room in a classic hotel to a guest room in a villa. This place has true, old school vibes while being perfectly modern in all amenities. The location is perfect. Two minor cautions. First, must be able to carry your bag up stairs and not be uncomfortable climbing them to get to your room. Second, make sure you get check in directions because the desk isn’t staffed outside their listed hours. I hope to come back because I loved it there.

The castle sits on a hill near the center of town with a breathtaking view of the hills. The town itself, has nothing to offer but a walking park by the public parking lot. One must have a car to travel anywhere. Castellamare Del Golfo beach is about 30 minutes by car, each way, making it a highlight. Palermo is about an hour, Segesta Greek ruins about 45 minutes, and Erice about 90 minutes. The rooms were clean, small, the window could not be fully opened. The staff was cold, the food was delicious. The price of the rooms were decent. If you don't mind a cold staff (I like to walk in a room and be greeted, even just a smile, or a look, not being ignored), the place was great.
